What is typical Vista memory usage?

you need more ram dude, my experience of vista on 1gb systems is that its a real slug.

Don't really notice any difference between xp & vista to tell you the truth, but then again i don't play games heh

But yeah it is on the list to get when i get some cash

I suppose the dual core keeps it alive hehe.

If all you do is light weight things like look at the internet, write documents etc you really dont need more than 1GB, yeh you might notice that IE opens 0.2 seconds faster, but that really aint a big deal as you really only do it once per session.

If you don't want to get anymore RAM, use a USB flash drive and enable Readyboost. For a couple of quid you'll see a noticable increase in speed.
