What is with some people?!?

Alcohol is too dangerous. It too easily falls into the hands of the emotionally compromised, and as such, these things happen. But of course, tighter restrictions would just harm our civil liberties and punish the good people. I mean, who cares if innocent people get beaten, stabbed, raped, killed etc etc? Screw making sacrifices for the greater good, I want another drink! *hic*

As we have found time, after time, after time prohibition doesn't work. So rather than removing drink (which the vast majority manage to enjoy without any problems) deal with those that cannot and will not learn how to handle their alcohol. For example have alcohol as a aggravating factor in any charge. Much like a racially motivated assault is worse in the eyes of the law as a standard assault make an alcohol induced assault worse in the eyes of the law.

This can go the other way though I've seen some thorough over the top beatings from some bouncers.

Last night the way one handled a girl who fell through a fire exit was completely out of order with the way he handled her.
