What is wrong with people?

Guy on XBL: ur **** all u did wiz camp the whole game

Guy on XBL: i think i should point out thats not a word i dumb **** u suck at halo go play something eles noob
ME: Thanks, I'll have to point out to you that "ur", "wiz", "eles" and "noob" are not words either, i wont call you a juvenile name though. Remember it's only a game :)
Guy on XBL: u wasted ur time just 2 get blocked remember ur a gay

You have to lol

If you were giving him a thrashing online then, unfortunately, when frustrated or because they are bad losers, we get this carp. See enough of this on source. Especially a shame I always think when you get a very good player who has a bad attitude. Seems to be at opposite ends of the scales I find.

Ahhhhhhh, memories.

Reminds me of a certain someone 'losing it' when they were about to get "King of the Hill" in Burnout Revenge and someone left the lobby.

;)

just priceless! :) i think the best thing about that is how it spilled over from XBL to the forums lol

I was playing SF4 over the Xtival weekend and beat a guy who had something like 900gp and I had non (first match) I got the full end of abuse as he accused me of exploiting.

was kind of funny, reported and deleted though.

I just don't get why someone would think it's acceptable to completely TK me to get a shotgun, but is outraged when it comes back to bite him in the ass.

It's the illusion of anonymity that makes them tk you. You're pretty much untouchable on the net, you can say what you like to who you like without repercussions (well, without getting a broken nose). See a guy with a shottie you want? Take it off him. After all, whats he gonna do about it, lol.

When you tk'ed him back, you stripped him of the power he had over you. Now he feels totally defenceless and your removal of his power is an unthinkable outrage. It's the sudden jump from being very powerful, to haven it comepletely taken away from you in an instant that causes him to flip out. It's too big a jolt.

I think most of us has said stuff online to others we wouldn't DARE say to someone irl, partly because it's just damn rude, and partly because we'd like to keep our nosebones intact. As much as a boon the internet has been to us, it's also brought out some of our worst traits -- greed, envy, selfishness, being a general **** head etc, simply because you can say or do what you want and be protected by anonymity. See: 4chan, and just about every messageboard or game of Halo, ever.

I'm fairly sure that I'd say exactly the same things irl as I would on line.

I'm more than willing to trash talk about Kreeeee's mum to his face, and once on a night out I came across an American and just ripped into him for being American (he was a lot bigger than me so it was a bit stupid), he came from the deep south so you can imagine the sorts of things I came out with (brothers and sisters, pigs, pickup trucks, etc)

lol at this thread!
Can't say I've ever been abused over xbl, but back in the yesterday years of cs it was a daily thing, hax, cheat, n00b, ADMIN!!!!!!.
