Discord is my favorite. Its still lacking a lot of features and I worry about what happens when they inevitably run out of their VC funding but until then its an easy choice.
I've already got a VPS for a couple of websites I run so was going to just host my own Mumble server as it wouldn't cost anything extra to run. I think I'll go with Mumble especially as now I have figured out the whole ACL thing. It should handle what I want to throw at it just fine.
The main two that I use is Mumble and TeamSpeak, out of the two I prefer TeamSpeak as it seems to have less issues. I also quite like the OverWolf integration with games via TS as it's often useful to have a little display in your game of who's speaking.
haha first ever gaming comms i came across was vent lol didnt like it much
but Mumble is ok for win xp comps and 150+ users and good for walkie talkies on your phone But mainly used for 200+ as it works well with high numbers
i like teamspeak 3 better .. more settings ,, easly run a 400 man server on a 1.8 Atom kimsufi server for £4.50 a month (tricky bit is getting windows on it )
