Your GPU history tree and potential next card

More or less how I started (though C64 -> A500 -> A1200). As amazing as some GPUs have been since I got into PCs in the mid-90s, I think the original A500 chipset is still (in my mind) the graphics that were most ahead of their time. yup, the ST and then the Amiga were the stuff a kid dreamed...

In the last year,More than one of each card,no AMD cards due to lack of HDR support in AMD software.To bad about AMD as they are my favorite PC Gear company but lack in support gets less sales from me.Just in RTX 4090 GPU's alone 15K Canadian.

Kinda, might have missed one or two from the old era ( before 3dfx went bust ) since i was so young back then and obviously wasnt buying stuff myself.

4850 ( loved it and hated it… got me through wow classic/tbc and i think it was around wotlk when it died? **** was 110 degrees and shutting down all the time til i had to give in and replace it ). Since then it’s all been nvidia.

- Some ATi 2D rubbish (first PC)
- 3DFX Voodoo 1

Can't remember much after that, various Geforce and Radeon cards over years apart from 2002 when I purchased an S3 Savage 2000 for some reason thinking it was something else (well it was something alright, a piece of crap that was incompatible with the half the games I wanted to run) currently running a RX 6600 XT and I'm very happy with it.

Waiting for a £200 to 300, card as cards aren't moving forward at the price point and performance I want to pay, I will wait, not playing much anyway as not played more than 10 hours this year as getting fed up and need a break from gaming and will wait for price drops.
