What is your iPhone battery health (and how old)?

Have finally bitten the bullet on a new iPhone 15 (deal from Orange France) as my late 2017 iPhone 7 (NIB to me in September 2018) has been telling me its Battery Health = Service for a while and won’t last a full day anymore.

It’s okay in the house under the WiFi, but the moment I go outdoors into low to no coverage, it dies off fast due to constant “Searching”.

416 days since my last report.

190 extra cycles, 571 total, iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Capacity is now 88.7% down from 90.5% and I don't really notice any difference. I don't do any manual battery management, I just plug it in overnight.

Recently moved to iOS and bought a 15 plus refurbished, it’s at 92% with 277 cycles.

I can return but I’m not sure I’ll get another with a higher capacity. Daily battery life so far seems good

15 pro :

First use : September 2023
Max capacity : 87%
cycles : 491
health : normal

I don't do anything in particular charging wise, just pop it on charger at night and pop it back off, some days it'll need a top up in the evening or similar but still lasts a day 9/10 times.

iphone 16.

90 cycles in 7 months.

100% battery showing still.

I dont generally leave it on charge much, I usually charge it for say an hour to top it up every now and again as I work from home. If I know I am going to be out all day I will fully charge it overnight before, but that doesnt happen often.

My 16 has dropped to 98% over the last 48 hours.

Have been keeping an eye on it as it’s approaching a year old. 269 cycle counts.

Wonder if I’ll ever get to new phone stage and it’ll be at 100%

I only Charge it when it gets to 25-30% which is usually after 2 days of use. Only time I really charge daily is on holiday because its my EDC so takes loads of photos and videos.

Previous S23 Ultra was the same absolutely fantastic battery life, and the 16 Pro Max is on par or slightly better. Wife's S24 Ultra also fantastic battery life.

I've noticed that my battery is suffering more and I start to have doubts it'll last the full day with decent usage. It's now down to 93%, 6% in a year.
Saturday I was out in London all day and first time I had to toggle Airplane Mode on/off to save battery, and in the evening I was turning the phone off completely to keep charge.
Health is now at 85%, I'm down another 8% in 10 months. Maybe 2025 is the year to actually replace my (Nov 2019 purchased) 11 Pro.
