An XJS that's been savaged by it's owner by the looks of things....

***edit***

Either it's one of the 100 examples that TWR modified, or it's trying to emulate one of them. Suspect it's the second option, since the last TWR one I saw looked better than that, even allowing for the daft bodykit. Either way, I prefer the standard car's looks by miles.

XJS - I think some of them were V12..!!

All the Series 1 cars were 5.3 V12s, the Series 2 cars had the option of a 3.6l AJ6 motor or the new HE version of the 5.3 V12. Series 3 cars had a 4.0 AJ6, a 5.3 HE V12 or a 6.0 HE V12.

The TWR ones had the bodykit, special alloys and suspension tweaks, and were fitted with the 5.3 engine. The bodykit has since found it's way onto quite a few cars though....more's the pity.

Could be a Lister Lemans but they were normally black and the back window was blended in instead of vertical. Also looked a bit more mental than that.

Just looks to me like it's got some wheels, bodykit and American spec front lights.

The limited edition was the XJR-S and was a "We won Le Mans!" special edition in 1988. So the 1986 one above is too early. It's also the wrong colour - should be a dark silver metallic IIRC.

TWR did race the XJS in Euro Touring Cars around 1982/3 before they moved to the Group C Sportscars. Wrong colour again tho - they were British Racing Green with a white stripe. Classic touring cars - the Volvo 240 vs the Jag and the BMW 635CSi...
