On the wagon, sorta
Just wondering what to use in the mix besides destilled water, I have a silver kill coil to put in but is there anything else that's a must?

Just inhibitor, I never used a silver coil (IMO sounds like contraception) - been running the same water around my closed loop for about 5 years now. Long time since i bought my additive ... think it was called something like Purple Ice?

Water and a killcoil is all you need. The silver acts as a biocide. The only reason you would need anything else is if you intend on using different metals (aluminium and copper et al).

not sure if my block has an aluminum lid, its a Apogee GTZ, need to find my hex keys and wip it apart, if it is will the stuff ocuk be the sort of thing ill be looking for, innovatek Protect IP?

decided against dyes etc as i heard horror story's of clogging and the like.

The GTZ does not have aluminium in it so you will be fine with distilled and the kill coil. The GTX has aluminium and deffo needs an ethanol glycol based coolant to prevent corrosion.

What other components do you have in your loop?

Then you are more than safe to use just the kill coil and distilled. No other additive is required.

nice, kill coil was a freebie bonus with my res and block from the mm so has saved me by the sounds of it, was mentioning to a freind about this and he mentioned deionized water, is this the same sort of thing or completely different?

Yeah it's more or less the same, just a different purification method. Distilled is more popular in the US whereas dionised is more popular in the UK for whatever reason.

with my bits being used am i better flushing and cleaning the inside of my block, rad and res with the purified water prior to installing and filling to remove any dirt and impurity?
