Raised an issue with my senior about a problematic assay on one of our analysers. He began complaining about all the extra work he had to do, but I had the pleasure of telling him I'd done each item as he listed them. Working so far above your pay band sucks sometimes, but at least I get the benefit of people constantly being impressed by the things I consider normal working practice.

Well, not made my today, but all week.. got a interview for a job I've been waiting for a response from for YONKS!

I cleaned out our back courtyard area, scrubbed the walls with bleach and water, washed the tiles, arranged all the mess and most importantly unblocked the back drains... with my hands. It was like sticking your hand into a bucket of Pâté. It ended up looking great though and now it's ready for summer barbecues 
Being in the sun for a few hours really made me feel a lot better, and I even got hot enough to just wear shorts, it was awesome. That really made my day.
Then I smoked and listened to Creedence

Nothing like sitting back and admiring your cleaning work. I spring cleaned my room the other day.. was worth every second.. even moved the bed!

Haha, same here
It took me five and half hours
and started with a simple hoover around but I got so sucked in with some music on I ended up taking my entire room apart, moving it out and cleaning everything, I even washed the skirting boards and window frames 
I swear my room was actually somehow brighter as a result. And then I smoked... that was also a good day. I see a pattern here. Now I'm taking about what else I can clean tomorrow.

Finally recieved an offer from Bristol to study Environmental Geoscience. Dead chuffed as I missed my maths offer there last year and have been dreading being rejected because it's the place I wanted to end up. So happy to be going there for definite next year. Everything is perfect.

Start of a new week as a newly single person (after 4 years of crud), sun out, recently bough a car I have always wanted, tunes on the radio ! Brilliant Day

Made some decent progress on a project at work, more than I thought I would.

Having been depressed by the COMPLETE lack of attractive females in this building, I bumped into (almost literally) a cute girl as she was coming out of the bathroom. Smiles were exchanged and my heart was filled with a sense of hope. Now I just have to work out which office she works in...
