What makes your life that little bit better?

My responsibilities at work... for me being in charge of a division 30+ Ambulances and RRVs and being directly responsible for their deployment.. nothing better for me, I get a hell of a lot out of my job.
Other Things:
My Car (Every time I go out to it I still smile inside
)
My voluntary work as a Community Responder... can't beat the buzz of helping people like that.

My work in payroll for a large tanker firm at the moment really brings me down, money brings out the worst in people, that coupled with an unmanageable workload leaves me feeling frustrated, stressed and miserable. There is light at the end though, as I've been offered an Engineering Officer Cadetship within the Merchant Navy starting in January hopefully. This gives me the opportunity to break out of the rut I've been in for the past 8 years, and gives me a shot at a lucrative career that I have genuine enthusiasm for.
I'm counting down the days until I can hand my notice in.

Music
I wouldn't want to live many days of my life without music. Music & memories go hand-in-hand. Not always good; for example a certain song will remind you of an ex or other such tinted tiem in your life but you need to remember that WAS & always be part of your life. You have to ahve the sour to truly appreciate the sweet.
If I look at the other end of that spectrum every great moment in my life has music attached to it. Not necessarily at that point but a lyric or a melody from a song will transport me back to that point all over again. Kind of moment where an outsider would wonder what the hell you're smiling about.
Don't stop the music!

my daughter as shes getting older now, oh and also sunday roasts and christmas dinners also but theyre far less frequent
