What "man jobs" have you done today?

Try a local fencing supplier, the one near us has similar depth/width sleepers for £20 and oak is about twice as much, all 2400 lengths.
(RJ meaker if you are in Sussex).

I think about £20 a length is about going rate isn't it?

Also check Facebook, i just bought around 12 metres worth of offcuts for £55.

Or also someone might make something like the Wickes one for cheaper. Seems to be loads of people making planters/benches these days, and sometimes i have no idea how they do it so cheap when you consider the price of wood.

Does screwing the handle back on a frying pan count. I was quite pleased with my lockdown productivity, well until it fell off again. Seems that the thread has stripped.

Getting there

Have bought some infill stuff which is meant to aid with smells from dogs. Just need to nail it down and then add that and finish trimming the edges.

Also that's not a huge divot in the far end. It's where the paving starts again before anyone questions my subbase laying ability :p

Have you just unrolled that from that tube?:D

Each to their own, can't say I am a fan of plastic grass (heat, smell, environmental disaster). I can see the perks of having a zero maintenance lawn though :p

I bought one last year, as was tired of borrowing one from work each year.
They do work, the lawn looks terrible afterwards but soon comes back in great condition.
I usually aerate the lawn as well, as it can get quite boggy down one side.

Cheers, I'm waiting on the one I want to come back in stock.

Low maintenance my backside too! Vacuuming, sand spreading and washing pet urine off which stinks a lot worse on plastic grass. Would have been better putting concrete down and painting it green :p.

Not managed any DIY or gardening but I did fit the fans that arrived from AliExpress for my daughter's HP Omen laptop to replace the one(s) that failed.

I also cleaned and re-pasted the gpu heatsink and cooler with some Noctua NH-1 while I was at it. Weirdly the cpu doesn't have a heatsink at all. It is now running silently even under gaming load and you can feel the heat out the back vents flowing nicely, it has been a while since it was like that.

Now I need to sort out my ageing pc and the PS4s in an effort to restore some gaming peace and quiet .

Then I really need to figure out how to tackle the garden now the wooden decking has been replaced with modular access deck and ramp.
