What "man jobs" have you done today?

I bought a
greenworks Cordless Lawnmower G40LM41K2X. Sorry took the text straight from amazon. 270 with 2 2ah batteries and a charger. Let me pay 5 months interest free too. Seemed quite reasonable, I'm normally a bosch fan but they don't come cheap. The cable is what annoys me about outer mower, I've been wanting it to break but it keeps going:p. Sorry I'm on my phone and it's carried on the formatting and nit sure how to change it:D.

Which mowers you got? I got v annoyed with my cable last week cutting the grass. I've got Makita tools and batteries, but imagine their mower would be very pricey.
Ive got the makita 430 wide one and it was around £200 which wasn't too bad. It works well but you need 2X5AH batteries to cope with my 250sqm lawn area.

Wife seen some 'Pintrest' idea for panel walling for the nursery . Usually, i would ask for help or get a tradesman in. However, i decided to have a go :)

Rather than glue directly to the wall i decided to pin 6mm MDF. That way, there will be no damage to the wall apart from a few holes to fill, should we decide to remove it. Job for this evening is to fill and sand then use MDF primer and undercoat.

Nor really related but I just can't get my head around Pinterest, is it just images of stuff or what?

Images initially, then posts of you click on it.

It's basically a way for people to pin/add to their favourites as it were, for things they like on there....there are some interesting things

Replaced the lock in my UPVC back door (as the old one was playing up with extra cut keys vs the originals) - surprised how easy it was (given what a locksmith would charge)

"Upgraded" from a standard euro cylinder to a Yale Superior - only downside is additional keys are considerably more than the £5 Timpson charged for my old one.
Timpsons quoted £28/each! 3 Keys Direct from Yale has cost me £39.60, but had to ring up as they are a newer style not offered online.

These came this morning and moved four barrow fulls and stacked them - So this is on for the rest of the day.
First time I have had cut to size logs -8" and square - stacks like bricks.
Only problem is it's raining.

Finished, about 6 dam hours painting a single panel wall. The MDF was just soaking everything up like a sponge.

2x coats MDF Primer
1x coat undercoat
3x coats Dulux Simply Refresh One Coat

Just need to white sealant around switch and edges and done!

i am not great at DIY. However, its a pretty close match to the image my wife liked and hinted at on Pintrest.

That came out rather well!!

Today's job was dealing with the horribly mangled, but incredibly still alive, shrew the cat caught.

The cat is now eating a mouse.

Anyone need help with a rodent infestation?

Get a cat, oh wait! :)
We have three cats and get a mouse or shrew a day, eldest caught a wood pigeon the other day which was fun.
