What "man jobs" have you done today?

What colour chaps?

We went with Cobham Blue when I did ours the other year. Partner had wanted gloss white with no handles, thankfully I convinced her otherwise, and now she loves it.

This was it just after I fitted the worktop,.

And the original when we purchased three years back.

Looks smart.
Not sure myself (personal taste) if I like such a dark colour in a kitchen.
I do love that sink.
Handles are nice and easy to clean. In our old kitchen have handles that are hard to clean. They never look nice.

That bender blender totally clashes with the colour! :D

Edited for political correctness!

Cut the back garden, electric raked it on the highest setting to pick up the weed grass, and some nasty yellow ****, then cut it again.

Cut around 20L of grass the first time and just under 80L the second. Looks a bit patchy in places now but should lessen the spread of weeds, especially that yellow **** that seems to be multiplying by the second.

Christened the new (to me) log splitter

Realised you can "double up" on smaller lengths to reduce the cut cycle

Lovely day for it !

Gave the splitter a bit of a stress test ...

Today we attacked the prep on newly plastered lounge. I had to finish wiring 4 socket faceplates first, while my girlfriend sanded one wall. Made good inroads on the next 2 walls (only 3 walls plastered not 4) but have had to stop for dinner and noise reasons.

Dusty!

Another few hours this morning so now about 2/3 done. Weather forecast is scorchio for the rest of the week so may get it finished over the next few evenings or between meetings if WFH :P

Just understood that my immersion wire has a spur for what is basically my internet/Comms sockets. Is this the end of the world? I need to rejig the understairs cupboard and could do with a few more sockets.
