I currently have an Asus M4A87TD Evo motherboard,
The memory specs say that its compatible with DDR3 2000mhz (O.C)

(ref. http://uk.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3/M4A87TDUSB3/#specifications )

Does this mean i can insert 2000mhz memory? or i can o.c 1600mhz ram to 2000?

Could someone spec me the FASTEST 4GB kit for my board please :-)

Thanks guys.

EDIT: Would these be compatible? http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-302-CS&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=1387

And would 2133mhz ram be compatible?

It means that if you were to install 2000MHz rated memory into the MB it wouldn't guarantee that it would work - as the motherboard is only tested/guaranteed to run 1600MHz sticks (but the reality is that it should run compatible PC3-16000 sticks at 2000MHz).

The Corsair Vengeance Blue should sit happily in the Asus but you couldn't guarantee that it would run at 1866MHz (although it probably would).

Personally i would buy a set of 12800 (1600MHz) memory as you will not notice any speed difference between a set of 1600MHz memory and 1866MHz memory in day to day usage

The Corsair Vengeance Blue 12800 memory is on a this week special at £49 - link
