I have a GA-8I865GME-775 M/B & dual core E6550 and like to know which memory I can use in it. Looking for 2*1G for up to £50-60 or will have to get less if more expensive(not my computer).Tried some ddr2 but won't fit. I have it running with 2*256M pc3200 at the moment but need something better. The CPU is running slow (1.8 instead of 2.33) and hoping this will help) .In the Bios it says something about needing to use ddr4 to attain this.
Thanks.

You will need to wait for years for DDR4 because DDR3 just came out. I think PC3200 is the fastest DDR also DDR2 is cheaper for a 2GB kit.

Just upgrade the Motherboard and Ram to DDR2 you should be fine

The GA-8I865GME does not support the E6550 because it only has a maximum FSB of 800MHz, not the 1133MHz needed to run the CPU at full speed. This is why the CPU is running slower than it should. Don't waste your time buying more memory as that can never make the CPU run at the correct speed on that board.
