Morning everyone.
I am new here and would really appreciate your help.
Right, I am looking to buy my daughter a laptop, where she can play and record herself playing Minecraft.
I have already purchased the game for PC and I am sort of stuck on which is the minimum specs needed for the game and recording. I am really wanting to stay on the Argos website as that offers me a chance to buy now pay later.
Thank you in advance.

Recommended Requirements:
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-4690 3.5GHz / AMD A10-7800 APU 3.5 GHz or equivalent
  • RAM: 4GB
  • GPU: GeForce 700 Series or AMD Radeon Rx 200 Series (excluding integrated chipsets) with OpenGL 4.5
  • HDD: 4GB (SSD is recommended)
  • OS (recommended 64-bit):
    - Windows: Windows 10
    - macOS: macOS 10.12 Sierra
    - Linux: Any modern distributions from 2014 onwards

Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum Requirements:
CPU: Intel Core i3-3210 3.2 GHz / AMD A8-7600 APU 3.1 GHz or equivalent
  • RAM: 2GB
  • GPU (Integrated): Intel HD Graphics 4000 (Ivy Bridge) or AMD Radeon R5 series (Kaveri line) with OpenGL 4.4*
  • GPU (Discrete): Nvidia GeForce 400 Series or AMD Radeon HD 7000 series with OpenGL 4.4
  • HDD: At least 1GB for game core, maps and other files
Wouldnt even bother with min specs. Most kids soon get onto mods with consoles lack and then start building huge. These too really start to add up on power .

Believe overclockers or PayPal do buy now pay later schemes . Just much better RMA here and believe vendors have reps for laptops which helps

Thanks for your reply. Would this product be ok for the game though? Sorry for my lack of knowledge.

Oh sorry didn't know. What would the best and obviously cheapest pc that i could get? Any ideas? I keep Googling around but there are tons of them out there.

WOW That's the really expensive. My daughter is 8 years old and i understand that she will be creating mods and all that but does she really need that much spec?

The £800 ones here not really. Didn't Google how much the Acer ones are above , but just used their website to filter down laptops. Will always be cheaper vendors and models. It's just using those CPUs to get money spec. For Intel ones I just last generation i3/5 7*** series . Onboard GPU should be able to cope , if it happens to have its on graphics chip as well then great

And then above is stated as Desktop CPU, laptops are rule of thumb weaker to save power and heat and cost

£400 odd, just have to double check onboard graphics series
Lenovo V110 Core I5-7200U

i3-8100
Z370 motherboard
8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 3000MHz+
450W budget PSU from EVGA or Corsair
£40 Hard drive
Budget case

That's about £400. Then have a look at options for Windows 10.
