what motherboard + Processor

Hi Guys,

Ive recently treated myself to a second 8800 GT 512 and Im now running 2 in SLI.

However I think that my CPU / Motherboard could be bottle necking my performance of these cards.

I currently have a AM2 6000+ Dual Core running on a Abit KN9 SLI Board.

I'll admit Im not that upto date on boards etc so any ideas on how to improve would be welcome.

What socket and chipset is the motherboard? I'm assuming AM2 something?

That should be am2 (as the op says...) and the older nf5? chipset

best thing to do it pile on more ram! £60 for 4 gig (provided your running a 64bit os that is...)

Im actually wanting a whole new board and chip.

I was thinking QUAD CORE and needs to be SLI in order to take the 2 X 8800's.

I already have 4GB in the current board.
