What music player do you use in windows?

I used Winamp for ages (nearly 15 years) but have recently switched to Foobar. Still getting to grips with it but with the right skin/UI set-up it's superb. I never got along too well with Winamp's media library but I'm using it much more effectively in Foobar and actually making sure album art etc is in place. Foobar shows a lot more useful information too.
I've often wondered about a replacement for Winamp. But all I need is a program to play audio files when I open them and a very basic equaliser. Winamp excels at these tasks.

Part of my switch was because Winamp has started misbehaving more and more lately; certain MP3s I have will crash it, and the queue function stopped working and would instead play the file immediately. Quite glad I switched now though.

I use Google Music mostly.

But I use Zune to play local files. Pretty nice interface but no FLAC support AFAIK

not too sure if this will be worth it as it maybe a bit over the top for music only but I use it for Movies.

Plex Media Server

I use it for movies but it allows you to import music as well and will do all the art work that you are after

iTunes here. Really like the airplay feature and I use the iTunes remote on iOS devices quite a lot. I find it integrates really well.

Worth mentioning that I do not let iTunes manage my music though. I've renamed, tagged and embedded album art myself using mp3tag

As a lot of the time I'm connecting to a RaspPi Volumio/Dac setup I used to use iTunes but the speed of it was killing me.

So now it's back to VLC with a 3rd party Airplay application (TuneBlade) for when I want to stream audio from Windows.
