Hi all,

BT are now doing mobile contracts... What network will they run on? Am I correct in saying EE (just looked on Google)... Just looking for some confirmation

Thanks :)

BT have been running a mobile network for ages, albeit for business customers. They use the Vodafone network and it's just as bad as it sounds.

Not sure when they are changing to EE.

Back in February BT agreed to buy EE for £12.5 billion. So any BT phone or sim you get will eventually be on the EE network

Business BT is on EE already now. Some of their older customers have SIMs that are still on Voda but they will be migrated soon. BT Consumer is EE from the start, I expect a rebrand as soon as it can happen. Maybe kevin will die too.

We're still on Vodafone. We've only been with them a few years, so not exactly an older customer either. They have not even mentioned getting new SIMs etc yet. Plus we don't get an EE signal in some places so they'll have to fix that. Plus we have Vodafone signal booster things in places we don't get a Vodafone signal etc. Gonna be a right mess when they do change, I know it was a nightmare when we went from O2 to BT!

I'm sure you'll have lots of fun when it does change! :D

It's still not right from the change from O2 a few years ago with patches of low/no services throughout the site, dropped calls, internal/external transfers failing, so annoying! Going to be a nightmare!!!

Just ordered the £5 sim, 200 mins, unlimited texts and 500mb of data is more than enough for what I need.

I signed up to the same deal last week and the signal has been a lot better than my old tesco 4g sim. I get 3-4 bars now where as I'd only get 1 bar at 4g previously.
