What next for Nvidia card lineups

Yep - a 55nm version, whatever they decide to call it - probably around 3-4 weeks away.

Then maybe a GX2 version, although there is an almighty silence on this - just speculation as this is what they have done with the 7xxx and 8xxx series before.

Wouldnt hold my breath on that 3-4 weeks as what ive heard from someone in the know is a few probs with the 55nm process so could be 2 months before enough ready for a release.

Reckon GTX280+ could be the one to go for too, looking like stock clocks arround 648/1620/2400(guess) and on basis current GTX280 hits 700-720 core then the + should reach it too

Prob less power, less heat and quieter than X2, PhysX support and none of the multi GPU scaling issues that so relies on the drivers between games, should be cheaper too

As much as I'd love to play with an X2 cant help feeling its an unfinished rushed to the market product, cooling is poor, driver issues being reported all over the place and min fps is poor in some titles as is scaling and stuttering, would love to have one for a week and see for myself
