I have a i7 920 at 4.1ghz stable, foxconn bloodrage gti with G.Skill Trident 6GB 1600mhz tri channel, sapphire 5850, 2x1tb samsungs with a 500 wd black (windows on, software, games on), I also have 1000w coolmaster psu and a h50-1 cpu cooler and the lg bluray writer.

My question is what would you guys do next to this rig? and please post what parts you would pick, another 5850? a ssd? or 2 ssds and raid 0?

Cable management.

New mouse pad and maybe new mouse.

Needs a clean.

Remove the sticky pad things which aren't in use.

Just a general clean over in terms of cable management and dust...

Component wise i personally wouldn't get another 5850, but the SSD's sound like a good idea. If you want/need a graphics upgrade then id sell and get a 5870 or 5970. Or perhaps wait for Nvidia.

Why not xfire the 5850? Would a single 5870 be that much better? I would xfire and get a metal mouse mat.

Then get a mixer shelf for ya drinks :)

I cant seem to get it any tidyer, the only way would be to drill holes and knowing my ill **** that up lol.

that stickypad i have to remove i forgot about that one coming off.

Isn't 2 5850s better then a 5870? so would save money by useing crossfire? and i got a feeling the nvidia card will have a big price tag like the 5970 why I ant sure about waiting as i dont fancy 500 quid on a graphics card, not in 1 go anyway.

any clue what ssd or ssd's to get? I don't want to spend loads if i do get ssds tho as for the size of them it would just feel as I'm wasting money.

Any clue to what mouse mat? as i know some are better then others. And lol may finish the JD tonight while having a game of MW2 lol.

Sorry a quick question, can you buy a 8pin extender cable? if so from here? and can you link me if oc sell them as thats why that cable is showing because it ant long enough.

LMAO lol, Im 21 and at home at the moment and my mum wont let me buy new ones as she said she would, you just reminded me to talk to her about them lol.

Get an 8pin extension and bring it around the back of the mobo tray. Much cleaner that way and makes it pretty much invisible.

edit: dam you :p

lol and thanks coupe69 I will order 2morrow or when I order my new bits as that cable annoys me lol, so is everybody leaning to another 5850?

Also I have a samsung f1 1tb and it makes like a booting up noise then like a click thing b4 i can view files on it, it can lag my system out a little, any idea on how to fix? or should i scrap it and get a new one? as it is very annoying.

Buy another bottle of Jack, your stock's running low!

Also if you want to be adventurous why not consider watercooling your GFX, mobo, mosfets and CPU in a custom water loop? It's a bit complicated but worth the effort in my opinion.

:( poor old Jack lol

Hey neo-omega I did make a post on that but 2 ppl replyed nobody else, But my processor at 4.1ghz is 42c idle and last time i looked the 5850 was 37c.

But when i update my case I will defo get one thats good for watercooling and have a full water setup.

Maybe you should consider an 800D? Very good cable management and it loves water cooling. Alternatively maybe get a decent silverstone TJ-07?

I do like the 800D

*edit* they are there at the moment I got no were to put them as my dad lumbered me with a 20" monitor and my old 5.1 speakers, aswell as the 5.1 for a tv, he gonna give to he's mate or something but he seems to think i have loads of room in here lol.

- you just want some of my jackie d -.- lol
