What next? need your advice (with pics of my system)

you could consider other things a mouse, g500 would compliment your keyboard (g9 if thats what you'd prefer)
A sound card and speaker system or headphones
just random ideas :)

I was going to suggest a boot SSD, like the new Intel 40GB one. Whilst another 5850 is definitely a nice upgrade, I think an SSD would be working on the weakest aspect of your system. You'd keep it a bit more balanced.

If your budget could stretch to a 5870, it could also stretch to a 5850 AND an SSD. :D

+1 SSD

For the love of mary, give it a good clean! :p ;)

Personally would add a SSD to your system as that'll compliment the other high end components nicely.

Dual monitors? Another of what you have if your happy with the first. Good excuse to put all the alcohol away out of sight so it doesn't tempt you to drink it!

lol ant that bad xD tho I will clean tomorrow lol, I was thinking of changing the fans in there to red anyway lol.

I was thinking of 2 ssds in raid 0, are the new £99 intell onse any good?
I ant sure about there Write speed tho "Up to 35MB/sec" as thats very slow.

I do like the idea of crossfire but I don't know if it's worth it, half of me is saying get one
but the 5850 on it's own runs amazingly well, I can max out crysis (not best fps ever at 1920x1200 rez)
but it plays fine.

**edit i don't need anything to do with sound, as I got my pc plugged into a denon avr-1910
av receiver by a 10m hdmi cable with onkyo 5.1 speaker setup, can post a video if u guys like?

But I do need a new mouse and mouse mat as my mouse has been with me for 1 - 2 years I think.

My dad told me he going to take the stuff he dumped on me with him tomorrow, but i still got the vcr under there as i have to convert the videos to dvd (another thing my dad dumped on me lol)

Duel monitors is an option but I don't think i would like the 2" gap in the middle of the screen lol, though it would come in handy with my adobe work.

hey atmax1, i would get a 2nd SSD if you have money to burn and consider crossfire or new gpu thats all u can do for better performance...

a quick question for you, the moboyou got, is it easy to overclock the I7 on that board? not many people mention it but it looks quite nice, also are the two PCI express x 16 slots PCI-E 2?

ty

get two more monitors and use the eyefinity on the gpu. you really don't notice the bezel are a little bit MW2 is awersome in widescreen.

perhaps a new desk that's large enough to tale it all. , a decent sound card that supports 5.1 or 7.1 then get a decent surround sound speaker system

that's what I'd do

@doggles
I watched a video of some guy with eyefinity he said it ant quite ready yet for games with the drivers thats out at the mo etc, and he had 2 5970s so thats something I will wait for, plus i don't think i could get on with the space between monitors.

The sound I have is perfect, hdmi out of the 5850 to my denon avr-1910 av receiver that does audio and video, and can put tv on so i can watch or use my pc on my 32" HD tv, with the 5.1 i have plugged into the receiver.

@Badas
So you think raid0 2 ssds? or 1 on it's own should be fine? and the motherboard i have isn't bad I have it @ 4.10ghz at the moment, Im trying to push more but it don't seem to want to have it, I'm going to try again soon though. The sound on the sound card it comes with ant bad, i didnt bother installing the software for it tho, just use the windows 7 driver for it, but i use hdmi on my 5850 mostly for sound.

personally i would just get the 1 ssd and install my OS and most important apps to it and maybe the odd game and think about a seccond normal HDD.

thanks for ur reply about the mobo it looks nice but i am unsure if to get yours or the asus P6t SE

Thanks Badas, I went with the foxconn because people said it was good and its red and black so goes with most of whats in my case (have to change fans) It ant a bad mobo, I did have boot up problem when i overclocked every now and then tho but since i redone the overclock and pushed it to 4.10ghz its running like a dream, but go with what you think is better but I think the asus P6t SE is so post to be good.

I'd suggest getting bigger monitor as well as the other suggestions you've had. You could have a larger monitor as your main display and keep your current one as a secondary display, if you've room on your desk for it.

I would but I don't need a bigger 1 i got a 24" at the moment and it does me fine, I also have my pc plugged into my 32" HD tv by hdmi and if i got a second i would just use for photoshop tools so i got more room to play with as i don't think i could get on with games stretched across 2 monitors as the gap would annoy me.

My mind is more set on a ssd at the moment, but I dont know if to get 1 or get 2 for raid 0, or one for games one for windows but would i notice any difference in games?

an SSD in game may not necesserally increase FPS but will greatly decrease the loading times of games, youtube it :)

of course the more you spend on one the better performance most likely :)
