Hi,

For some reason I appear to be on a quest to buy more computer stuff - although I have no idea what would be a useful or fun thing to get. So I thought perhaps someone could help me decide on something to spend some money on :) This is what I currently have in terms of computer.

Lian-Li PC-70 Case
Termaltake 850W PSU
Asus P7P55D-E LX Intel P55 Motherboard
Intel Core i5 750 2.66GHz @ 3.6Ghz
Corsair XMS3 (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel
Intel 80Gb Gen2 SSD
Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB
ATI 5870 (Powercolor PCS++ 950Mhz)
Logitech Z5500 5.1
Logitech G15 K/b
Logitech G5 Mouse
Dell 3008WFP

Some ideas I had were to:
  • Obsidian 800D
  • Watercooling
  • New Desk (replace the Ikea desking for something nicer)
  • Wall Mount Monitor
  • A real soundcard? perhaps one of those Asus things
  • USB3/Sata6Gb Card
  • I ran out of ideas....

What should I do :)

Sound card isnt a terrible idea if you play a lot of games or are big on home cinema.

Personally Id go with a second monitor.

i got bored and am in the process of building a cheap rig for folding/seti, then i might pass it on to my little brother for runescape and cs later on. dont need the system though, if i sell it i will prob just start again with another.

oh thanks for the ideas :D
I got the games already. I think ill go for a sound card then the case perhaps. Not so keen on buying another monitor, this one is plenty for me already. Re Ram, it would only want dual channel as it is an i5.

Watercooling is a good toy. It'll keep you occupied for ages, by the time you're loosing interest the next gen of hardware should be out, and your watercooling will fit it. Which is brilliant.

Otherwise multiple monitors.

Would I really notice an improvement in sound quality by buying a new soundcard? It would go with my Z5500 system. I quite like the sound from the on board AC97 surround - would there be a big improvement?
