What now?

Ive been on an 18month O2 contract with a D500 and my I've paid my 18th payment this month.

what happens now, I don't think i want to continue payin £30 a month as im off to Uni in 4weeks.

Do i have to phone them up and cancel? or will it just automatically stop and the phone won't be usable?

I would consider staying on a contract, as long as i get a brand new phone, the same number and a better overall package.. i.e. more mins and txts than i get now... for no more money.

what are my choices ?

The 18th month refers to the minium contact, if you dont call you will be billed forever.. you could either get it xfered to PAYG or try to get a better deal (from o2 or another provider via a migration code), however even though you minium contract is over you still have to give a months notice so if you told them today then you would still have to pay for the next 30 days.

try to get a better deal (from o2 or another provider via a migration code)

Try calling the cancellation department or if they give no joy then look elsewhere, t-mobile have some nice plans and orange have some good orange deals.
