Hi,
I'm awaiting delivery of Q6600 G0 stepping CPU, and I'm wondering what kind of overclock folk are getting with this kit. How far can I comfortably take it?

Any concerns or "gotcha's" I should be wary of?
Thanks very much! :)

Guys?
I've read through threads, its just that Iwondered if anyone had direct experience of overclocking with my Motherboard.

Thanks!

If you check out this thread http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17779323

you will find others with the same motherboard although none of them may be using the same ram.
I can't imagine any will be using stock cooling which will reduce what you might otherwise achieve with a decent after market cooler.

I know of at least one of them, who is off line at the moment, with the same MB, who is very helpful so I’ve no doubt more specific guidance will be forthcoming.

This thread, particularly the more recent pages may also be of interest.

OT flash the pro to a xt :)

and agreed you should hit 3Ghz easily. Depends how much further you wont to go

Oh, forgot to say...
I'm using an Artic Freezer 7 Pro to cool the chip.

Currently I'm 3.4Ghz stable(ish) on my E6400 so I'd be looking to 3.4 as my target.

Ths do-able you think?

Getting 3.4Ghz stable on Artic Freezer 7 Pro cooler.
Temps 46 degrees idle.

Gonna sit on this till the Artic Silver beds in, then try for 3.6.
