After saving I have £330 lol and i want a new dx11 graphics card and I will get another around xmas time to crossfire.

What i do? i do some video editing, gaming, web design and stuff like that, I want to max out games.

what games do i play? I play games live Crysis, Farcry 2, nfs shift and things like that.

What pc I have? I have a
AMD Phnom II 3ghz @ 3.30
8GB OCZ ddr2 1066mhz ram
Asus M3A79-T Deluxe am2+ mobo
1000w cool master
xfx 4890 (xt i think it is) 1gb
and a Samsung T240 24" monitor

Should I get a 5850 or 5870 (is it worth the more cash?)

I wouldn't mind one that came with dirt 2 though.

This. If you are overclocking the 5870 isn't worth the premium. Later you could always add another 5850 in xfire for a big boost.

You use the drivers or the MSI afterburner tool. Both easy and simple.

oh and what 5850 comes with dirt 2 and is a good card? or all same? lol

At the moment every 5850/5870 is a reference card so the only thing that changes is price/warranty.

Also, AFIK, every card seems to be coming with dirt 2 (i think the sapphire cards have battlestations pacafic as well but may be 5870 only for that)

Seriously, apart from the overpriced HIS, all the others have 2 year warranties from memory and are the same price.

But as fast as they come in, they are all sold.

if u can get the 5870...then get the 5870, BUT get the PowerColor 1 which includes Dirt 2 key!
il do this before christmas if that offer is still up

Thanks, I will go for the 5850 as save some money, i know a place that has loads of them in stock in the uk so i will order and get 2mo though i wish oc had them in stock.

huh is it 30 £ extra did not see it tbh they all the same just different warranty with different companys.

powercolor is good had 4 powercolor cards never had problem with them pity they give only 1 year warranty , its 2 years on 5800 nice
