What powers (watts) does a hdd draw??

I have 2 74GB raptors
1 PATA with a sata converter on 400gb seagate
1 sata 400gb seagate

i'm looking at putting in 2 320gb sata seagates and maybe selling the PATA one, just wondering if i'll be ok with 5 drives, a 512mb gtx, 2 dvd drives, 4400+ etc etc on a 580W tagan psu, i'm also thinking of going sli!

You can use this to work out your power requirements. You'll be fine though, I think hard drives use about 10 watts each or so.

I would have thought that PSU would be adequate. Im running 4harddrives, including a raptor, 2x6600gt's in SLI, 2 DVD drives and an overclocked cpu on a Tagan U1 480W, with no problems.

My 460W copes with my 7 hard drives no problem but my wallet finds it hard to cope with the electric bill
