What programs do you install on a retro PC?

I am just curious, digging through my old backup CD's and wonder if any retro gamers install programs?

For me, always like to install:

Paint Shop Pro
Winamp and Sonique.
The Simpsons Afterdark Screensaver
Macromedia programs - Director etc

As few as possible, like my modern PCs!

Acrobat reader 3 / 5
Need for Speed 2 SE

I don't see the point in putting winamp etc. If I want to listen to music I'll use my much better modern PC!

Nothing, else it just becomes a standard PC

Surely a retro pc just has the software required to launch the games
