What PSU should I buy for this PC Specification?

Hi I've just started building my first PC (from scratch) and I've already bought some of the parts. But I need guidance on what wattage of PSU I should get.

(I am thinking of getting a Corsair HX750w PSU which have really good reviews. Would this be enough for this current spec? and would it still be enough if I upgraded to an ATI HD 5970 in the future?)

Here is the spec.

Already bought and installed in chassis:
Intel Core i7 930 (2.80Ghz 8mb cache 4.8GT/s QPI)
Asus P6X58D-E
OCZ DDR3 PC-12800 (1600Mhz) 3x2GB TriChannel RAM
Cooler Master HAF 932 (x4 fans, x1 Front Panel Light, HD-Audio, x4 USB/2, x1 1394, x1 eSATA)
ASUS Tiger TV Tuner (FM) with Front panel RGB/Svideo/Audio Component card (Came with my old Packard Bell ieXtreme Gold MC PC)

Awaiting to buy:
SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X HD5770 1GB GDDR5 PCIE (x1 not intending to use CrossFireX)
LiteOn BD-Combo w/ DVD/CD+-RW iHES208 SATA
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST31000528AS

I'm not planning to increase the graphics with dual or triple gfx cards but I may upgrade the current card in the future. I'm not interested in using the Liquid Cooling or the Over-clocking capabilities that the PC could have (the current fan cooling should be enough). I will increase HDD capacity to 2 or 3 hard drives later on and maybe install at BD-DVD Rom as a secondary Optical Drive or a better TV card.

and I will be using Windows 7 Professional x64

Basically I want a reliable PSU obviously and a good make like the rest of the components but I would just like to know what the minimum Wattage other people suggest.

Thanks :D

id go for this if it were my cash:

750W is a bit overkill for your current system, but may prove worthy for a new 5970 in the future

650W will be more than ample for the listed system, in fact im running my 5870, and the rest of my sig on a 625W Enermax. Whatever u decide as u said, just make sure your buying good quality components, as a PSU is something you really dont want to gamble on :)

it is cheaper, but also a Hybrid cable system. If your not in for ''use what cables you need'' then i guess it maybe a better option, personally i like the full modular layout

LOL. Overpriced

Those crosair HX psus are some of the cheapest seasonic produced psus you can buy. If you won't stump up for a a new seasnoic (understandable, they arnt cheap) then the a HX650 is a good second. It's a lower end seasnoic psu with small changes, usually the addition of braiding, loner cables, small component changes.

huh?

its only got the most needed cables attached.

looking at the OP build, its got everything he needs already connected.

if you read the psu reviews of the antec new truepower range, you would realise that they are made by seasonic!

so what were you saying about the corsairs being some of the cheapest seasonic psus around? fail!

For that spec, at that over-clock, there's no same reason to go cheap on the psu. Period.

650W "should" be enough for a 5970, but i'm not sure how such a high over-clock effects i7 power draws.

I would go for the Antec TruePower New Modular 650W.

A decent 800W PSU will run a pair of HD5970 cards and an overclocked Core i7 920 running at 3.8GHZ fine:

Remember that an HD5870 1GB has around the same peak power consumption as an HD4870 1GB or HD4890 1GB. An HD5970 will consume less power at peak than a pair of HD5870 1GB cards.

Thanks for all your help guys. I will probably go for the HX750w as its more then enough, I don't mind paying a little bit more and at least its gonna be future proof + the good reviews I saw helps me make a decision.
