Hi guys, im looking to get a new PSU
needs to cope with 2 x 7950, one SSD, one HDD, fan controller and one optical drive, with i7 2600k processor.
Any suggestions to what i need? Ideally looking modular

Well that PSU is in OcUK's warehouse, goods in need to book it in, it got delivered this morning. So at some point today it will be back in stock :)

I have a bitfenix shinobi.
I get what your saying it would make sense though.
Did you read my thread?
Becuase they turn off under load at 67 degrees but when i use the GPU Z thing they can get into the 70's no worries at all.
I had one card working fine no issues added the other then the issues started and now i cant get the first to do what it did before?!

Maybe it was just the added load on a Silvlerstone PSU which was on it way out, and the extra load of a second card pushed it over the edge?

now that could be the issue. Either way im in tears i get a new card and now i can't play games! WTF!
So i need something that will last and be cheap and cope fine.

Heat isnt great in my pc its more than i want it to be. Should i get a side fan on intake or exhaust? I wasnt using the side on the case, bout modding it this week with mesh so its got lots of air around it. Was going to add a fan to keep it cooler. CPU never gets above 50. Just the graphics that get warm

no the standard shinobi comes with nothing the window comes with one, i dont have the window, just two metal sides, but one is off all the time, im modding to give it a huge mesh window in order to help air flow.

I didnt mean like £50! i mean something thats a good value and will actually last. Im sure they have warranties....

I'm sorry but the standard shinobi comes with a single fan and the windowed version has two.

The "core" version has no fans (or mesh and logo for that matter).

The standard shinobi has a single fan, is that what you are still running?

I will be honest cheap and will last/cope don't combine well with PSU's.

but ive taken the side off and meshing a huge window in it for air! makes about 3 or 5 degrees difference with the side off.

So what PSU and an intake or exhaust fan on the side?

That is the "core" version which you are meant to customise yourself with mesh, logo of your choice of colours and add the fans you want.

It is just a bare case for customising.

There is a list of parts at OcUK for that case

YOUR BASKET
1 x BitFenix Mesh Stripes for Shinobi Tower Case - Blue £6.98
1 x BitFenix Mesh Stripes for Shinobi Tower Case - Gold £6.98
1 x BitFenix Mesh Stripes for Shinobi Tower Case - Black £6.98
1 x BitFenix Logo for Shinobi Tower Case - Green £1.98
1 x BitFenix Logo for Shinobi Tower Case - Blue £1.98
1 x BitFenix Logo for Shinobi Tower Case - Orange £1.98
Total : £31.88 (includes shipping : £4.16).

That's just a small sample.

Get a intake fan and rear exhaust fan fitted asap if I was you.

guys i have fans all over it two at the front one on the top and one at the rear, the side modification is just to add extra air.

I havent bought the mod stuff for the case that they offer as of yet. just added a fan controller to the front which is cool.

So the side fan should that intake or exhaust and what size?
As for the PSU is that the best value for money etc? Wanted to spend about £100ish
