What quad core for a5n-e sli?

Hey folks,

I've had my c2d computer for just over a year now.
I've noticed some new intel chips just around the corner, but wondering if my a5n-e will be able to handle them.

Am I limited to a q6600 for quad core? Or can I have one of the new fancy chips coming out soon.

Are you sure it's not a P5N-E SLI?

Asuming you mena the P5N-E SLI the the Q6600 will work and i clocked mine to 3Ghz on that board.

Not sure if they work woth the 45nm chips best checking the asus website

the p5n-e is a 650 board so i dont think they work with the new intel chips.

The P5N-E will work with wolfdales last time i checked the asus website, but not with the new quad cores

I currently have my E6400 at 3.2ghz. So do you think I'll loose much with a quad at 3.0?

Nope. The extra cache will help make up for the lower core speed.

And then ofcourse the Q6600 has four of the little brats.
