What raid array can i do

I have 3 Corsair force 3 and 3 Corsair force 3 GT ssd's 120gb can i set them up in raid0 ? i also have 3 Hitachi 1TB drives too. What can i set them up in.

I have a StarTech 4 Port PCI Express SATA III (6Gbps) Controller Card which i will be using but have no experience of, can it be using along side my 4 sata 3 ports onn my mobo.

I think the first question is why do you want to go RAID? What would you be using the machine for?

I'd avoid running much on the startech card, the controller is unlikely to be up to much and you could well find the PCIe link itself causing bottlenecks (I assume its a 1x card?)

Hey, it is a x4 card. The machine it will be used on is mainly for gaming, photo and video editing and rendering video also some encoding too.

I have always used 2 ssd in raid0 which the OS and some games are stored on mainly installed games from dvd since the early days. I also keep my main files on a raid1 array so they always backed up.

Only asking because i have changed all of the kids machines to vertex 4 ssd so im left with the spare ssd and i do not resell items (although i should ^_^ ) so they will be sat gathering dust so thought they could be put to use since i have the raid controller but if you think its best to just keep the standard raid0/1 will leave alone as i am pulling now around 980 mb/s read and 750 mb/s write.

Forgot to add i do also transfer a lot of files between drives and compress and extract a lot of data using winrar.
