What really grinds my gears....

That person who walks a 0.0005 MPH in front of you and then stops in the door way of the place you want to go!

These people should be shot. The number of people who do this at the station on my commute is ridiculous. I'm sure whatever facebook post you're reading on your phone while "walking" is fascinating, but some of us have trains to catch!

People who stand in doorways in general really wind me up. Again especially on my commute. There's a whole platform to stand on, so once you're on it, how about moving out of the way so people don't end up queuing up the stairs!

I'm in a tetchy mood, and so i'm thinking about things that generally annoy me and it's winding me up even more, so in the hope of cathartic release, here are my current top annoyances;

1. When driving, you let someone pull out in front of you and they don't bother to acknowledge your heroic, kindly gesture (also true when holding a door open for someone).

Also this. Or even worse, when they don't even register you're letting them out and you're sat still in the road while they try and figure out how the gear lever works and which pedal makes the car go broom.

I've stopped letting people out now because the sheer number of idiots on the road round here make it too frustrating.

People who cannot handle give way right at a mini-roundabout, people who cannot indicate on mini-roundabouts, people who fail completely at mini-roundabouts with less than 4 exits...

The fake motorway sign thing is infuriating too "debris on road" is the one I come across but never any debris.

Also those people that over take me because I am in a Polo and then decide it's sensible to slow to 60 in front of me! (lots of irritating motorway driving).

Not one of those things irritates me, and I'd be the first to admit that I'm a pretty irritable guy.

1: All ego. If you're waiting for an acknowledgement / thank-you, and get annoyed otherwise, then you did it for you and not for the other driver / door passer.

2: Sweet packets are crinkly. Pretty unreasonable to expect people to eat from them "silently".

3: Purely advisory. They were true at some recent time, and advise you to watch out for it still being the case.

4: Common sense applies.

5: People can do as they wish  If friends continue to "let you down" (what does this mean anyway?) then they will eventually cease to be friends. No big deal.

6: Just a turn of phrase, inviting you to regale them with the wondrous nature of your holiday. No need to get uppity about it...

Just my 2p.

lol yep, that's a great one. I might be a nosy cow, but I have never once actually slowed down. If I catch a glimpse of something then hey, but being that nosy and morbid that you actually slam on your breaks and slow down. WHO DOES THAT?!!!

people who confuse break and brake. I know its petty and stupid but it irritates the hell out of me.

Ubershell, do come in and lay down on the couch. Tell me, when did you first realise most people are *****?

I am with you. Let's start a support group :D

I am by no means a perfect driver but the standards here in Bristol are absolutely dire. Most drivers don't indicate and have no concept of lane discipline. Don't get me started on people who drive up behind you when you give way to oncoming traffic and decide it is perfectly ok to go around you . I could go on but I am bottling up my rage until I have driven home, where I will take it out on suspects in L.A. Noire :p
