What resolution is nomal TV?

With all the 1080p's (1920x1020??) and 1080i's of HD TV, I was wondering - what is normal TV?

Like BBC 1, 2 and ITV 1?

And is sky tv different?

Around 512x400 IIRC. Though with interlacing I don't think thats accurate 100%

This is correct in terms of pixels....if you were to digitize the 'lines' of television
