What Screen Resolution Do You Play Games At?

Howdy,

Ok I have several TFTs in the house and my current TFT is the Dell 3007 30" TFT.

I currently try to play games at 2560x1600 if it can handle it, otherwise I drop down to 1920x1200!

I'm curious to know what screen res people on here play games at on their PC's?

Not sure how many people will reply here, but ideally I'd like to know:

  1. Screen Resolution you play at?
  2. Native Resolution of your monitor?
  3. Do games run bad/average/perfect?
  4. (If you can be bothered) the important specs of your PC?

I was looking for something similar to a thread like this, but found nothing... so here I am :)

I think this could be useful for members if enough people enter their details here, others can get a rough estimate of how good games would run on their PC's if they find someone with a similar spec?

1. 1680x1050 if I get decent frame rates
2. as above
3. Most run well, but I have yet to put a tough test on yet, such as BioShock although it was around 30fps on the demo.

1) 1920x1440 (22" CRT)
2) None as its a CRT
3) All games inc newer ones like DiRT 35FPS Min (buggy port), Demo's like BioShock 80FPS Min and MOH-Airbourne 70FPS Min
4) E6850 @ 3800mhz (so far week or so old)
2GB PC6400 Dominator Kit Sync'd with FSB (had 4GB kit but did not OC well)
8800Ultra Superclock @ 700/2400

  3. the ones I play run fine (CS:S, Doom 3 engine, Far Cry) but new games would run sloooooooooow.
  4. 3000+, 1gb, 6800gt.

2)Think it's 1024x768
3) avarage but i need new gfx & ram
4) C2D e6300 @ 2ghz, asrock775, 1gb pc4000 , 6800GT Agp

Don't ask me about the messed up resolutions haha always used that one no idea looks better than 1024x768

Specs in sig.

Only a 19" screen, I'll get a 24"+ some day :)

4) AMD 3200xp , 1GB PC3200, Nvidia 7600 GS

One day I will upgrade my computer, but at the moment I'm mainly using it for programming and my original xbox for playing games on.
