What settings for 939 overclocking?

Ok ive never overclocked an 939 system before so bear with me.

basically ive got a hypertransport setting which i think i need to change, the options are 200mhz,400mhz,600mhz,800mhz,1000mhz. Which one should i choose.

Ive been told by the person i bought the chip off it can do this:

FSB 270
HT x3
Volts 1.6v
Memory @ 166 divider so was running at 225mhz @ 2.7v

Im assuming HT is hypertransport but it says x3? so what mhz do i need to set the ht to?

the ht bus runs at 1000mhz (optimally) and is derived from the fsb. With a stock fsb of 200mhz, you'd need a x5 multi for 1000mhz. x3 would be 600mhz (200mhz x3)

So you saying put my fsb at 270, multiplier at 3 and ht @ 1000mhz?

Put the fsb to 270
CPU multiplier x (what chip do you have, just leave this in the bios)
HyperTransport multi x3 or on some boards 600
Voltage 1.6

multi 10 (its a venice 3200 so this is stock multi)
hypertransport @ 200mhz
voltage @ 1.6

Well it didnt quite like those settings, blue screen after two loads of the xp loading bar.

225 may be too much for the mem. What mem have you got? Just put the 133 divider on to make your mem run at 180

No ive got 512mb hyperx pc3500 so it should be fine. Got into windows all hunky dorey at

1.6v

so i then tried

270

1.6

no go

got into windows and waiting to stress, mite need 1.65 at that speed though, would 1.65 be ok on air if temps are ok (below 50 load)?

Ironicly waiting for things to cool down before i stress, was running 57idle :O at 1.625, stock cooling, the fan was at 7v tho. Gonna see what it wnats to idle at before i continue, cheers for the help.

well get the temps down then, no wonder its unstable if your running the temps that high

What cooling do you have? 1.65v is bit too much for air cooling IMO
