What shall I use?

Hi all. I am building my own computer, a quad just to play chess on line.Please if any one can help me to choose Intel core i7 Processor 920 or the AMD Phenom IIx4 940 Black edition.( Iam not overclocking) I will apreciate your expert opinion on this matter. Lebaron

for the price of a intel i7 setup is not worth it, if you are just going to play chess.

if all you're doing is playing online chess, dont overspend. Budget - Mid range components will be fine.

huh? you are looking at those CPU's and say you're not gonna OC? And all to play chess with... Why not just get a pre-built rig then and go for an OcUK overclocked system? It seems a very expensive route to go for the joy of building it yourself

Thxs guys. Well that's exactly what I am doing,sorry I wasn't clear about it. I am getting a pre-built rig, I don't know what overclock is exactly but can you please say a bit more of (OcUK overclocked system) and where to get one maybe for the future if I need it. Sorry if I broke any rule I went to FAQ and found nothing. ?

An overclock is running your system components at a speed faster than what it left the factory, i.e. makes your computer perform better & You can buy a pre built OcUK rig off their website - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=43
