I like that this is your 3000th post, that it consists of one word, and that your location is "The road to erudition". Ethnobotany isn't something I've read much about aside from some articles about roses and ayahuasca, so I'll have a look.

A lot universities have Science foundation year which allows you to gain entry to the full time degrees in Science based subjects.

Would I be able to enter one of those with just Standard Grades (equivalent to GCSEs, I guess)?

Do you enjoy what you do know? surely there are different programs and qualifications you can do to further that path.

How about something to do with Media? All the kids who want real jobs do that degree these days.

I cannot speak for all universities but I studied a foundation science course at Plymouth and I was able to get in with only mediocre GCSE grades and no A-levels. My being a mature student helped a great deal I think. Passed with ease and I'll be studying environmental science this year.
