What should I upgrade?

Thanks all. I was thinking more or less the same. TBH I wouldn't bother getting a cheap 3700+, as it's not a huge difference to what I have now - I could probably overclock most of the increase when I get round to it.

But yeah, an X2 and 2GB of quality RAM was what I was thinking. G.Skill 2GB DDR HS PC3200 (2x1GB) CAS2.5 Dual Channel Kit and AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4400+ (Socket 939) - OEM to be precise.

It seems like a good idea until I realise it would come to nearly 400 quid :eek:

It depends largely on what you use it for, as to what should be upgraded first. Getting more RAM would benefit photoshop and encoding etc a lot, getting a faster CPU would be good for games etc.
