Hay all.

I asked this question few months back but as new hardware out and see what would bring better performance for games like battlefield bad company 2 when its comes out.

My specs are atm.
OS xp pro ( mite get windows 7 if i get a dx 11 card)
------------------------------------
Motherboard = GA-p31-DS3L
-------------------------------------------------------
CPU = E2180 clocked @3 GHZ (cpu cooler Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ram = OCZ ATI CrossFire Certified Edition Dual Channel 2 x 1 GB DDR II 800 MHz
----------------------------------------------------------------------
HD = 320 gig sata
----------------------------
GPU = 4850 ( overclocking this now seems to be unstable in games and make black shapes on the screen:confused: maybe needs cleaning again lol
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
PSU = hiper 580 watt type R (working fine for over 3 years )
------------------------------------------------------------
DVD RW IDE ( will get sata one soon anyways :D
------------------------------------------------
Monitor = sync master 940 bw (1440/900) res
---------------------------------------------------
I am not sure if i should save for a complete new build or change only some parts.

Like if i got a 5850 i know i would need new PSU as well but also my cpu won't be able to keep up i think.

I can't really say a budget as i not sure what i would change yet.

Thanks for advice :D

I had a e2160@3Ghz and a x1900xt, 4Gb ram. I upgraded to a asus 5770 and a couple of days later installed a q9550. I have not o/c the 5770 but at stock and overclock of my q9550 (ram too) there is a big difference in America's Army 3. Like night and day.

My advice is, since u have only 2Gb ddr2 that u just upgrade the lot. I tried to clock my q9550 on my p35dq6 I had to get a p45 p5q deluxe as the p35 was pants at overclocking. Having said that I needed to replace my enermax liberty 500w with a corsair hx850. That PSU has probably been the reason a lot of my past overclocking experiences have been so poor.
