What size PSU would I need for this setup?

As the title says, what wattage of PSU will I need. And can you reccomend me one?

Also are there any major errors in my choice of setup, I need a PSU still and a case but im not worried about how good the case is.
I got a budget of £500 so I have a little more room for spending if theres anything I can improve

I suggest not going for that graphics card, and get this instead.

The 3850X2 is far too power hungry for what it is. If you want to stick with it, you will want a decent PSU which is 600W+, but with the 4870 you should be able to get away with 450W.

I would also suggest going for a better monitor, something like this is a bit more expensive- but far better. Also, spending the extra £14 on this would be well worth it (also this larger motherboard would be a better bet).

Considering modest consumption of 3850 X2 would't even draw as much as many high end single cards...
But dual GPU systems are always dependent of optimization of drivers and you can bet that they won't be doing much optimizations for that old model.

Ok its looking a lot better now. Should I go for a corsair psu, i've heard theyre good.

Problem is it brings me over the £500 budget
