I am building a mostly gaming rig for a couple of games. (SWTOR and BF 3)

For windows and the games what would be the best size SSD for me?

Is an SSD the best way forward for me?

FYI I will have at least a TB on another drive.

Also will playing a lot of music lessen the life of a SSD? ie winamp or similar in the background

I recently bought a Crucial M4 128Gb drive.

Really nice.

Havent tested it thoroughly yet as only been playing the witcher 2, but loads a significantly shorter and I have eliminated the hitching, which I used to get with my old hdd.

Whats the rest of your computer specs? Becuase £150 would be better spent on a cpu or GPU upgrade, if you dont need an ssd.

They are a luxury item.

128GB seems to be the sweet spot. big enough to fit windows and all your games and programs on it. you can stick photos, videos and music on your mechanical HDD.

if 128GB isn't enough for your steam folder you can just uninstall some games - not like you'll be playing that many games at any one time anyway.
