What software for ECDL?

I have a relative who is about to do her ECDL training. I was wondering if anyone knew what version of software they should be using?

I was going to cobble together a decent enough machine for her with Windows XP SP3 and Office 2003. Will this do, or is it more up to date than that? Given the UI differences between Office 2003 and 2007 it would be very important to a novice!
