What song/track to you hate the most?

some of the songs been mentioned in this thread are actually great songs imo :( , even if its just for comedy reasons

chaccaron though that deserves to be here for sure.

yay, someone to third my vote for chaccaron, bloody moron that man, he should be hit in the face and then shot. Theres hardley any real words, yet they still put that filth on the Tv and Pop compilation albums. If it came on in a club u'd just beat the DJ to death.

I have very strong opinions about covers. Bad covers are musical crimes. Ugh. Let's see...

Creep (Radiohead) by G4
I think we're alone now (Tiffany) by Girls Aloud
Iris (Goo Goo Dolls) by Ronan Keating
Proper Education (Pink Floyd) by Eric Prydz (yes, it's technically a sample, but it's still crap)
American Pie (Don McLean) by Madonna

As a sidenote, songs by the following bands should not be covered unless you are as good as or better than the bands in question. Chances are you are not. You will not improve on what the bands have done themselves, so just don't touch. The list:

The Beatles
Abba (though I did hear a moderately entertaining cover of Does Your Mother Know by Ash)
Queen
Radiohead
U2 (exception - Johnny Cash's version of One)
Green Day

A possible all encompassing exception could be made for Weird Al Yankovic to cover just about anything, but he'd have to run it by me first just to make sure.

Just to show that there are some covers I like...

Common People (Pulp) by Ben Folds and William Shatner
What a wonderful world (Louis Armstrong) by Joey Ramone
One (U2) by Johnny Cash, as mentioned above
Tainted Love (whoever) by Marilyn Manson
Feeling Good (Nina Simone, I think) by Muse

So true.

My own personal "where's my machine gun" track is The Shoop Shoop Song (It's in His Kiss) by Cher.

I despise that track.

Most recently, I have to shut the radio off when I hear that Justin Timberlake track... My Love? I'm guessing that's what it's called as it's actually the chorus that is the annoying bit. What the hell is with that chirruping in the background over the chorus? It's like water torture.

Another of the same ilk is Usher - Yeah. Listen to the chorus and tell me that terrible whistling in the background isn't annoying. You'd be lying, because it is.

Or the damn telephone ringing every bar.

i hate 'smack that' too, always hear people singing along to it, not having a clue whats going on when it says "lamborghini gallardo"

Gilly your music taste sucks!

Thats a great tune!
:p

Of all the "songs" I've ever heard, there is nothing I hate more than that load of rubbish Missy Elliot (is that how she writes it?)
Had absolutely nothing musical about it, no tune, no constant beat no anything.....
It is the biggest piece of crap I have ever heard.
Can't even remember what its called.

Anything by U2, Lilly Allen or Amy Winehouse.

I've actually scratched the hell out of my Mum's Amy Winehouse album 'cos I'm sick of hearing it.

Angels by Robbie Williams makes me want to vomit blood and smash my pint glass and gouge my own eyes out with the shards every time I hear it in a pub/ cheesy club. :(

Edit: That song that goes "Haven't you people ever heard of closing the god-damn door" is nearly as bad :/

Shania Twain - Man I feel like a woman

Horrible horrible song, if it's ever played on a night out you'll always get a group of overweight women huddling in a circle and dancing with eachother to it....eugh

Too right!

That Aalong with "I will survive" - oh the humanity!

That is a terrible song. When I first heard it it had potential, but it seems they got bored halfway through writing it and decided not to finish it off with any more verses and just play the chorus over and over again.

Speaking of which, I always thought the line in it was "No, it's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poisoned rationality", which is a bit pretentious but made sense as it sounds like he's being sarcastic about it. As it turns out, the line is actually "with a sense of poise and rationality", which makes it pretentious but also illogical.
