What sort of power could I get with £300?

Hi.

I'd like to build a new gaming rig, but have been out of the loop since the 480GTX.

I have £300 to spend but am a bit unsure what would be best for my money. I'm looking at the 7950 at the moment. It's a bit expensive but is it worth it, is there anything else out there?

Spend the extra on the 7950, or see what price/performance the 78** series come in at , they are due some time this month apparently.

Agree with stulid. Wait for the 7950 to drop in price if this is your max budget or see what happens when the 7800 series is released.

Have you considered crossfire?

If you look in the right place you can get a graded 6950 for £158.
