What sort of Pro Evo player are you?

There aint nothing wrong with a cut back goal. Its easy to defend against. People just never use smarts when defending it. All you do is hit X to make another player go press the ball while you control another player to cut out the pass or tackle the on coming shooter.

Its only cheap because knob jockies don't know how to defend against it ;)

that is a complete lie

Bit of both tbh.

If the chance comes to have a shot with Adriano (or any other player) I'll take it. Same with the cutback goal, if the chance arises I'll take it. I'm not going to pass on any decent opportunity just because my opponent might moan about it.

However, I don't actively seek or try to force any one type of goal.

I find the best way to attack is to try and be a threat in any given situation, this obviously has to include the two examples given.

From this thread I've played InwardSinging (I think), McDaniel, dannyjo22, Anders0n and cheets64, none of them used 'weasel' tactics.

1 Minutes left on the clock I'm one up and your bearing down on my goal with a striker. I'm gonna cut you in half even if it costs me a player. Prove me wrong score the freekick :D

I dont see whats cheap about a cutback, I never moan if someone scores one against me. Its football. Can see it now Jose moaning because someone scored a cutback goal against his team ;)

People moan about Adriano and cutbacks because they can't defend. Nearly everytime I played someone of here with adriano I've done a job of marking him. They still win with someone else :D

Wedgie is the only player thats used Adriano a lot against me and if I had the stats I'd say adriano has scored 1 in 3 of his goals against me and lots of those where worked inside the box.

Dont hate the player blame your own defending.

what i consider cheap is people who prey on other peoples mistakes

nothing wrong with punishing people for their mistakes. it's how a lot of goals are scored in pro and in real football.

i love getting a goal after someone has boobed. rubs it in their face that way!

it's funny you should ask this really, because i used to do the cut back 'pro evo goal' all the time but now i NEVER do it! I've played over 900 games on live and i refuse to play it anymore... purely because it's too laggy and too slow to react :( It's fun playing it offline with my mates, because everyone's really good at it now (using super cancel to volley etc) and we read what each other does all the time so you cant just score the 'pro evo goal' :P

Learn to fight fire with fire or where the teams weak points are. I've been beaten by some truely great players on ranked who have used west ham.

Preying on other peoples mistakes?

Are you kidding, thats like saying I hate it when people kill me in shoot em ups when I miss the first shot and they kill me. What do you want them to do, give you the ball back?

Football is all about punishing mistakes.

You played 900 games THEN realised it was too laggy and slow?

I'm a bit of both, usually I like to take a comfortable 2-0 lead, if I can get this from attacking from the wings so be it, I can just as easily attack from the middle or whatnot, I like to score decent long rangers too.

Like Danny said, people who run to the by line and cut it back can easily be defended.

my point is it is a cheap way to score a goal i do it as well depending on the game and the opponent but it does not give the same satisfaction as a well worked move ending in a glorious goal

it is a hollow feeling it is more about the result than the experience i don't care about my live score or any crap like that i am playing to have fun

also if you rely on this method for your goals it is a crutch and you will be found out when you play against people who can defend it and are more creative inventive at attacking

If my only two options were win 1-0 off a cheap goal or score the best goal ever but get beat 2-1, I'll take the 'cheap' win every time.

I don't ever enjoy getting beat, regardless of how I played. For me 90% of the satisfaction lies with the result.

Half the reason I hardly play it now is because I'm nowhere near as good on 6 as I was on 2 or 4.

TBH if I am playing ranked matches then I will try to score anyway I can, be it screamer from miles out or a cut back, this doesnt mean that I constantly try to score cutbacks if I am in that position then I will use it if not I will try something else. However some people that I have played against really **** me off by just trying to score from cutbacks and nothing else

I've been playing a lot of Pro Evo on Live! the last few weeks and it strikes me that there's at least two distinct types of player. There are those who merely try to score as many goals as possible; always trying for what I call a 'weasel' goal. Like the getting to the edge of the area and pulling the ball back for a striker or the goal with adriano just off centre in the area. Then there are the people who try to craft the best goals possible, creating nice passing moves and scoring crackers.

I place myself in the second category, and refuse to score any goals with a pull back at the edge of the area. As long as I score a great goal during the course of a game then I'm quite happy. I like to think of the person I'm playing thinking 'I wish I scored that goal'.

What sort of player are you? :)

And would I be right in assuming you're a gooner as well? :p

Surely there is a third type of player aswell? The one that either goes Brazil or Inter then just passes the ball to Adriano to run around, get tackled, but never fall over and just have the ball stuck to his feet, then for them to just so much breathe on the shoot button for him to smash it into the top corner while he has 5 players round him and totally off balance
