what sort of spec is ok?

hi all,
reason i'm asking this is my pc is well above the base spec i see but i'm not sure whats 'close' and whats 'ok' now.
for a laptop what sort of spec should it have as i won't be playing games and will be doing office aps and internet? :confused:

budget is ideally as cheap as poss.

eg got an x2 3800 with 2gb and an x800 and its perfectly fine but just considering a laptop now on a more base spec as i don't use it tbh.

I've been doing some reading today and it seems that any Core2Duo over 2.0GHz is fine for everyday use, and 2GB RAM is pretty much the standard for anything above a Netbook.

What's your specific budget?

cheers, with this being the newest i've had, i've had it for quite a while and i'm just looking at other specs tbh.

budget is as cheap as poss really as basically i want something that will do what i need it to do and nothing more so maybe a netbook might suffice but would this run office aps?

would the samsung NC10 be able to handle what i need?
