What sort of spec PC are you running WoW on?

I'm looking to get back into WoW pre-WOTLK and will be building a new gaming PC anyway so I thought I'd do a quick straw poll and see what you are running WoW on...

I'm looking at a Q6600, 4870, 8GB of Geil RAM and Vista x64. I know this spec will more than handle the WoW engine (hell, the iPhone could probably run WoW) but with all the texture detail/Anti-Aliasing set to 'high' will I notice any improvements running it on native resolutions on a 24" monitor?

Q6600, Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R, OCZ 4GB PC2-5400C5, BFG Geforce 8800 GTS OC2.

Runs quite well funnily enough.

:D

Rig in Sig, i play Windowed at 1680x1050 Everything maxed 4xAA 16xAF.

Capped at 60fps,can drop down to around 30 at times, looks and runs very well :D

Q6600@3ghz 8gb RAM DDR2 XFX8800GTX 756mb (OCed a little) Vista 64
I play at 1900x1200 max settings inc AA and AF

tbh though i play a lot of other games not just WoW. Id say my spec is stupidly high to play WoW.

your proposed spec will be so overkill for running wow, i hope you will play other games to warrant buying all of that :p
itll run wow at max settings no worries though, and with the tweaks in wotlk, the game may require a little more power than it does now, but you will still have headroom with that pc

*Claimed*

Max settings @ 1680x1050 with full FSAA and AF on :-

Athlon64 X2 4200+ (939)
2048MB PC3200
7900GS 512MB

Never drops below 60fps (except in Shattrath) and is normally in the high 80's. So more than playable and smooth.
