what spec should i go for with my asus pg348q?

bought the monitor in january... and like 3 days after purchase i went to work away and ive just got back into the counntry. Am on the train home now reading a custom pc mag...

i want gaming as my main focus so im thinking it will prob have to be a 8700k + gtx 1080 ti...


£2000 to spend ..need everything bar the monitor...

what do you guys recomend?

Yep 8700K and 1080 ti would be a solid choice. Another option would be to go with a Ryzen R7 2700/X for the extra cpu cores.

If you decide to go with the 8700K then make sure you get a good cooler as well, so something like a BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 4 for air or a good 280mm/360mm AIO if you prefer a liquid cooler.

Any preference on case ?

ermnn....not too sure ..is it possible to go extra snall with a 1080ti?

As long as the gpu fits and you can get a good cooling solution for the cpu.

If you are not fussed about overclocking the cpu then you could go with the non 'K' i7 8700 and a B360/H370 chipset board. You can get away with a lower end cooler this way.


Best thing is to decide on what case you want and go from there :)
