I want to connect my laptop to my PC my laptop is wireless, I assume all I need is a wireless router to do this am I right ? and if so what speed do I need ?

depends, what kind of things will you be using it for? web surfing? large file transfer to other computers on your network?

Did you really need to keep asking again and again and again, like this thread, here, and here?

You don't even need a wireless router, a wireless card for the PC would do. Speed depends entirely on how much you want to pay and what you intend doing with it.

I asked several times because I was not getting a answer, I want to use my PC as the server and my laptop to connect to the PC wireless I will be using the laptop to connect to the PC through remote desktop for surfing the net and playing football manager online I wont be transfering huge files between the PC and laptop its just to connect to the PC through terminal server, so what do I need

Patience is a virtue.

I want to use my PC as the server and my laptop to connect to the PC wireless

So? That'll work with adhoc...

I will be using the laptop to connect to the PC through remote desktop for surfing the net

Er, remote desktop for internet access?
Use ICS...

and playing football manager online I wont be transfering huge files between the PC and laptop its just to connect to the PC through terminal server, so what do I need

802.11g would likely be plenty...

Pretty obvious that you don't understand that.....

Adhoc wireless network = network between two wireless networks cards, no access point in the equation. Google is your friend here.

Why would you use remote desktop to access the internet? If you ran ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) on the PC that is connected to the internet then the laptop can get onto the net through the PC.

802.11g is a wireless networking standard which gives (in theory) upto 54Mbit/sec throughput. For internet access that'll be more than sufficient since your internet connection is going to be significantly less than 54Mbit.

i just bought a WRT54GS for my ntl connections, works great.
btw the sales woman from shop said the router doesnt work with bt. dunno why.
